Meydenbauer Bay Park: Downtown’s Connection to the Waterfront  
After years of planning and two years of construction, Meydenbauer Bay Park reopens this month with Phase 1 complete! You’re invited to learn how this transformative project enhances Downtown’s connection to Lake Washington and provides a welcoming and memorable experience for all visitors. The City of Bellevue project team will show the results, share the details from the master plan, and set the stage for fulfilling the vision for this signature public park.   ​

Meydenbauer Bay Park to Open with Fanfare in March 
The Meydenbauer Bay Park project is nearing completion and the City of Bellevue invites you to celebrate the new and improved beachfront area at the Grand Opening Celebration, featuring ribbon cutting, live music, activities and food. The new park includes a 400-foot-long pedestrian pier and seasonal boat rentals.

Board Approves Downtown Access Strategy Update
The BDA Board of Directors unanimously approved the Transportation Committee’s recommended Downtown Access Strategy update. Over the course of six months, BDA Members worked toward creating an effective advocacy framework for addressing policy issues by acknowledging competing views and finding shared goals. The update marks the first revision to the strategy since it was adopted in 2011.

Volunteer to Support and Judge DECA Student Events
Thousands of high school students will come to Bellevue Thursday, February 28 for the Washington State DECA Career Development Conference. Throughout the weekend, students will showcase skills in entrepreneurship, marketing, finance, hospitality and management.

Volunteer to judge on Friday, March 1st, 7:30 am - 4:30 pm at Meydenbauer Center. As a judge for DECA, you will assess and evaluate teams of DECA students in competitive events.

The BDA Celebrated 45 years with the Bellevue Community 
Earlier this month, the Bellevue Downtown Association celebrated our Downtown at the largest Annual Celebration in its 45-year history. More than 500 local leaders gathered at Meydenbauer Center to toast to the year’s achievements and recognize outstanding contributions to the growth and evolution of Downtown Bellevue.

Attendees networked over social hour, heard from two esteemed keynotes and joined in honoring two award recipients over a delicious dinner and dessert.

Wintergrass Festival
