Preapplication Submittal Process Update - February 27
Join the February BDA Land Use & Livability Committee meeting to receive a City Staff overview of the updated development preapplication submittal process, an update the Committee initiated via discussion with Development Service over a year ago. Come ready to learn about how projects are submitted and reviewed at the earliest stage.

State Legislature Opens Dialogue on Transportation Funding 
Senate Transportation Committee Chair Steve Hobbs has released a state transportation concept for major transportation projects and mobility system improvements. The BDA submitted a letter to the Senate Transportation Committee in advance of last Thursday’s public hearing on the subject, urging the Senators to include major projects vital to improving access for the growth of Downtown Bellevue. Work is expected to proceed on a potential statewide transportation package, and the BDA will continue to track its progress.

Tips for Surviving the Seattle Squeeze
The Alaskan Way Viaduct along Seattle’s waterfront closed for good on January 11, and region-wide congestion is the result. Commuters will likely experience heavier than normal traffic. King County Metro, WSDOT and SDOT have advice for commuters to best survive the transition without too much hair pulling. Consider teleworking, taking transit, or shifting your work schedule by an hour or two to avoid peak travel times.
