Message to Our Members
Downtown Bellevue is thriving. We saw remarkable work shape our city this past year, and we’re ready to serve and support you and our growing community in 2019.

Today’s BDA membership reflects the diversity of our dynamic Downtown community – from tech start-ups to major employers, from non-profits to restaurants, from large property owners to tenants of all sizes. Each BDA member contributes to the vibrancy of Downtown, making it an attractive place for employees, customers, residents and visitors. Thanks to our members, we celebrated a few highlights at the BDA in 2018:
  • Most new members in a single year
  • Highest total attendance at BDA member and major community events
  • Record support from event sponsors
  • Double the number of users and page views on
  • 10,000+ ORCA cards distributed through TransManage, reducing drive-alone commute trips to Downtown Bellevue
  • Success on key policy recommendations and positions 
Remember to mark your calendars and register for the 45th Annual Celebration on February 7. The yearly event is a great opportunity to reflect with Downtown Bellevue leaders and dream big about the future.

Recap: Responding to Homelessness in Bellevue
The December BDA Breakfast program centered on the issue of homelessness in Bellevue. Diving into the subject were five panelists from leading organizations tackling this challenge on the frontlines. The fact-filled forum explored data, myths vs reality, trends, and solutions. With more than 150 people in attendance, the community came out in full force to learn about this issue and how Bellevue is responding.

Updating the BDA Downtown Access Strategy Continues
The BDA Transportation Committee is scheduled to hold its fourth meeting to update the BDA Downtown Access Strategy in Q1 2019. Mark your calendars and plan to attend. Member will work to complete its work and adopt a final draft.
